Tarzana · Family-owned · Certified kosher
Neapolitan-style pizza and handmade sambusak, baked in a real brick oven on Ventura Blvd. Chalav Yisrael. Open until 1 AM most nights.
About Taboni
Taboni is a family-owned and operated sambusak shop where everything is handmade and cooked in a traditional brick pizza oven: sambusak stuffed with three cheeses, pesto or kalamata olives, 12-inch Neapolitan pies with dough stretched to order, sandwiches on bread baked per order, shakshuka, and rosealach dusted with powdered sugar.
It's small, it's cozy, and it's open when almost nothing else kosher in the Valley is: until 1 AM Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday, and until 2 AM Saturday night after Shabbat.
What people say
“Taboni in Tarzana is an absolute gem. The pizza is outstanding — perfectly blistered crust, fresh ingredients, and that balance of sauce, cheese, and toppings that reminds you what real pizza should taste like.”
Dory B. · Google“This Israeli style pizza was really good! The flavors were robust and the dough of the pizza was baked to a light crunch on the crust. We got three different pies to try them out.”
Angela M. · Google“Great pizza, great Caesar salad, amazing dessert called Rosalach. Also soft serve ice cream. I'll definitely go back.”
Randee R. · Google“Amazing food at an amazing price!! Finally something new and tasty. And open late at night. When you step in and get the smell, wow.”
